ELECTION ALERT: Tea Party Express Endorses Shane Hernandez for Congress in Michigan

SACRAMENTO, CA:: Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of State Rep. Shane Hernandez in the race to replace retiring Congressman Paul Mitchell in Michigan’s Tenth Congressional District.
Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “Michigan is a key state in the battle for conservatives to reelect President Trump, capture a U.S. Senate seat and seize control of the House from Nancy Pelosi. It is critical to nominate candidates with a bold Tea Party message of limited government and lower taxes to take on the radical left’s big government agenda. State Rep. Shane Hernandez is exactly the type of conservative leader who will do just that.
“Shane Hernandez is living proof that the American Dream is alive and well. The son of migrant workers, he learned the values of hard work and sacrifice from his working-class upbringing. It enabled him to achieve a master’s degree in architecture and embark on a successful career. Elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2016 and named Chair of the Appropriations Committee, Shane opposed every proposal to increase taxes and consistently fought to reduce wasteful spending.
During his first term, he was named the most conservative member of the House for his efforts to rein in the excesses of state government. In Washington, Shane will fight alongside President Trump and House conservatives to restore our economic greatness and reform our broken federal government. “The radical left would have us believe that the American Dream depends on massive spending on big government programs. But as Michiganders have seen in recent months, government overreach and interference in the economy has dire consequences for workers and entrepreneurs. Economic growth and job creation depend on minimal government interference in the market, not bogging it down with onerous taxes and regulations, as Nancy Pelosi and her leftist allies in Congress would like.
