ELECTION ALERT: Tea Party Express Endorses Mike Garcia for Congress in California

SACRAMENTO, CA: Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Mike Garcia for Congress in the upcoming May 12th Special Election run-off in California’s Twenty-Fifth Congressional District.

Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “When we first learned of Mike Garcia’s candidacy for Congress, we were impressed by his background of public service and his embrace of Tea Party principles. A decorated war veteran, committed family man, and staunch conservative who understands that the American Dream thrives in spite of government, not because of it. Mike is the Tea Party choice to represent California’s 25thCongressional District in Congress.

“Mike Garcia’s entire adult life has been defined by his dedication to his country. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 1998, he went on to serve as a fighter pilot on the front lines of the war on terror, completing more than thirty combat missions in Iraq. Following his twenty years of naval service, Mike embarked on a successful business career as an aerospace executive and real estate investor. His passion for public service and his firsthand experience with fighting onerous taxes and regulations in his business life compelled him to run for Congress. We need more honorable servants like Mike in Congress dedicated to promoting economic opportunity for everyone.  He can achieve that by fighting to rein in the out-of-control federal debt, further slashing job-killing regulations, keeping taxes low, and ensuring that America is safe and secure from foreign enemies. 

“Nancy Pelosi and her fellow liberals in Congress would like nothing more than to extend California’s high cost, high tax, big government failures to the rest of the nation. That’s why they’ve tried to use the coronavirus pandemic as an opportunity to push for wasteful spending that will neither get our economy moving again nor help struggling families or shuttered small businesses. The Democrats have nominated Assemblywoman Christy Smith, who has already proven as a state legislator that she plans to take her liberal voting record to Congress. The constituents of the 25thdistrict, and indeed the entire country, deserve better. That is why it is critical to elect a principled conservative leader like Mike Garcia to Congress,” Russo concluded.
